Learning the basics while having fun is what our beginner lessons are all about. Our goal is to help young burgeoning drummers learn the fundamentals of how to hold the drumsticks, read music and drum notation, become familiar with the drum kit, and create basic rhythmic patterns and tempo.

You’ve got the groove, you’ve mastered the basics and now you're ready for more. In our Intermediate drum lessons, we’ll teach you more advanced beats and you’ll broaden your use of the drum set. Better your skills in reading notation and charts and expand your genres of music by learning different world beats, Latin, Afro Cuban, Mozambique etc.

Advanced private drum lessons

You’re on your way to becoming a rock-star, or maybe you’re one already and simply want to learn new skills. We’ll dig deep into Jazz and Latin, some of the most complex drumming there is. A key focus for advanced drummers is on technique – having the right technique helps ensure you’re an efficient drummer.

Meet Our Drum Instructors

Nick Volpe

Nick is an accomplished drummer with a passion to share drumming with people of all ages. His unique ability to meet students at their level and creating a great environment sets Nick apart. Nick not only loves teaching but he also never stops learning from the masters. Nick continues to attend drum clinics and drum camps to further his personal drum acumen.

Charlotte McMunn

Charlotte is a lifelong drummer. She started playing at the age of 4 and started formal lessons at the age 5 and hasn’t stopped drumming since. Charlotte has played over 100 live performances and has experienced all you can as a drummer from performing, writing and recording to teaching other drummers. Charlotte was accepted to the Arts Program at Huron as a percussionist and currently performs with three different bands all over Ontario. Charlotte prides herself on her craft and loves talking drumming with everyone.
