We at CDG are very excited to have the Meinl Pure Alloy cymbals!
Effortless touch and clean sound. This is MEINL Pure Alloy. A timeless voice formed with fully lathed surfaces allows them to be expressive in virtually any style. Their refined nature has two sides: polished definition met by a velvety wash that encompasses a full tonal spectrum.
CDG Cymbal Sessions III- Meinl Byzance Vintage Pure Series
Hello drummers! Continuing our weekly CDG Cymbal Sessions Series with a look at the Meinl Cymbals Byzance Vintage Pure series. In this video Aaron Spink from Exes For Eyes gives us a demonstration on the 14" Pure Hi-Hats, 18" and 20" Pure crash and the 22" Pure ride.
Byzance Vintage Pure cymbals are created by a process in which the metal becomes very flexible. While this character gives them a unique response, slight deformations may occur at the cymbals edge. Such changes are within the accepted standards of this cymbal and will not affect the sound.
18" and 20" Pure Crash- The Vintage Pure Crash features an overall dry sound character with a relatively fast decay. Unique tones for drummers who want to express themselves. They have a distinctive and earthy look.
22" Pure Ride These raw looking cymbals with high-density hand hammering are all about strong sticking responses over deep and dry darkness. Total control, due to almost no sustain.
These cymbals are in stock and ready for you to try out! Check them out on canadiandrumgear.com or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
This weeks CDG Cymbal Session video will be featuring the Meinl Byzance Vintage Sand series cymbals. 14" Vintage Sand Hats, 18" Vintage Sand Thin Crash, 20" Vintage Sand Crash and 22" Sand Ride with rivets.
Its unusual sandblasted surface gives it a soft feel and a distinct matte finish. Its low, dark and somewhat dry washy sound isn’t too soft or loud. With its great stick definition and short sustain, you can dig into Byzance Vintage for total control at all times. It’s a sound that fits into any music that isn’t in the upper decibel levels.
Special thanks once again to our good friend Aaron Spink from Exes For Eyes for coming out and laying down some tasty sauce!
As always feel free to contact us with any questions at email@example.com or come visit the site to check out these very cymbals that are in stock or any other cymbal line.
Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Series
Meinl Byzance Extra Dry, living up to their name, these cymbals are extremely dry, with low-pitched, trashy sounds and short sustain. The raw unlathed surfaces and extensive hand hammering suggest that their sound might be loud and fierce. In reality, the Extra Dry series reveals its dark, earthy tones and comes to life when played at lower volumes.
We'd like to share our first installment of our CDG cymbal sessions where we will take a set of cymbals and give you guys a listen!
First up is Meinl Byzance 14" Extra Dry Hi-Hats, 18" and 20" Extra Dry Crashes, 21" Transition Ride and a 10" + 12" Electro Stack.
These very cymbals are in stock and available at canadiandrumgear.com. Feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the site to check out the other cymbals in stock.
